Web development
I build lean, accessible websites where architecture, content, and search visibility are designed as one maintainable system.
Static delivery without unnecessary weight
Astro suits company sites, service pages, documentation, and content projects where pages do not need server rendering for every request. They are prepared ahead of time and delivered as static files.
I use JavaScript only when a specific interaction genuinely needs it. Tailwind supports a consistent visual system without accumulating a large layer of generic styles.
Accessibility and measurable quality
Semantic HTML, keyboard operation, a clearly visible active element, contrast, and meaningful links are checked throughout implementation. WCAG AA acts as a practical accessibility baseline rather than a final-day repair list.
I use Lighthouse 100 as a working standard across performance, accessibility, implementation quality, and SEO. Core Web Vitals, realistic content, and checks across viewport sizes provide the context that a single score cannot.
Multilingual structure and discovery
Lithuanian and English versions receive explicit routes, canonical and hreflang metadata, and a predictable language switch. Each locale has its own title and description, with copy written for its audience instead of mechanically translated.
Structured data comes from central configuration and stays aligned with visible claims. Cloudflare edge delivery can then add considered caching, security controls, and correct response headers for static assets.
Choosing the content system
A static approach is effective when changes are planned, the editing group is small, and speed with low operational overhead matters. Content may live in the repository or come from a separate source.
I recommend WordPress when a team needs frequent independent publishing, complex content relationships, broad integrations, or WooCommerce. The choice follows editorial workflow and long-term care needs, not fashion.
Process
- Review the goals, audiences, and existing material.
- Define the information architecture and core page map.
- Prototype content and components before full implementation.
- Build in small increments with regular review points.
- Check accessibility, metadata, redirects, and performance.
- Publish, document the handover, and define care boundaries.
Technical foundation
- Astro static generation with explicit localised routes.
- Tailwind design rules and resilient components.
- Minimal browser JavaScript with responsive image handling.
- Interaction and content decisions aligned with WCAG AA.
- Structured data, sitemap, canonical, and hreflang metadata.
- Cloudflare edge hosting, caching, and response headers.
